How I Lost 5 Pounds in 5 Days

Since my last post realizing I have a junk food addiction, I changed my diet drastically. As a friend had told me "once you feed your body good food, it thanks you." Little did I know that my body would lose a whopping 5+ pounds in such a short amount of time.

Here's how you can try my cold turkey method:

1. Counting calories to aim for 1200 per day


Using the My Fitness Pal App on my iPhone was perfect for this! It is so easy to add foods from the database or scan the barcode. It also helps track calories burnt and can be used as a pedometer which automatically subtracts your calories. They really couldn't have made it any easier.

2. No bread.

This was really tough. I love cake and baguettes. What's a salad without croutons? But trust me, this paid off. Say no to that croissant now so you can say yes to a smaller dress size later.

3. Make a point to exercise.
Sweat it out and make it count. I aimed for three gym visits a week to use my favorite elliptical trainer. Plus when you buy a adorable work out tank like my "I'm  training for the Triwizard Tourament" tank from Hot Topic, you have yet another incentive to go work out. 

I know not everyone will have the same results as me after just 5 days. I mean I definitely have more than five pounds to lose. But, if you need a jump start like I did, I highly recommend these three tips.
